At the start of July we walked and prayed through our community.  From Warwick Bridge, Home Eden to Great Corby. Across the bridge to Wetheral, past St Cuthbert's Spring and the Village Green then on to Scotby. A final loop included the St Constantine's Caves and Wetheral Priory.

We placed clay markers with an imprint of a Cuthbert's cross in each place we visited.  According to legend, St Cuthbert’s Well was built long before Norman times when Wetheral Priory was founded. The exact date is not known, but St Cuthbert is thought to have visited Carlisle in 683 and 687.
