‘Blackbird in Wetheral Church Yard’

In late winter, I went to see the snowdrops in Wetheral Church Yard. As I looked down to the river, I saw a blackbird on the railings. It was a beautiful, clear day and the colours reflected this. 
 

 

‘The Allotments’

I like allotments. The individuality of the plots, with their sheds and water butts, a perfect subject in shape and colour. The picture, from my imagination is based on visits to allotments at Penrith, Berwick, Silloth and Carlisle.
