Stewardship - Responding in gratitude
Responding in gratitude to a Generous God
Stewardship Pledge month
A letter from Graeme Skinner
June July 2019
Dear church member,
(Written to those on the Electoral Roll)
I have now been in post for one full year, thank you for your welcome and support. One of the first questions I asked on my arrival was about the health of our church finances. It was clear that we were running with a deficit, including our share of the Diocesan contribution, which in reality supports our ministry here. I resolved to address this issue after being here a full year.
I am also keen to offer everyone in church in the opportunity to support the strategic ministry of the Children and Families Outreach Worker post, so this account is now being merged with the general church finances.
This is a simple form to fill in. Most people only need to fill in either section 1, 2 or 3 and 5. Some can respond to the Gift Aid section 4 if appropriate. I have included two forms if there are two people on the Electoral Roll at one address, in case of separate giving. If it all seems irrelevant at the moment or overwhelming to you, I fully understand. However, it would be helpful if you returned the form anyway with one of the yellow boxes ticked and just section 5 completed by 10th July, just so we know you have received the form.
We are confident that The Lord is with us as we seek to further the God for All vision and recognise that this will be fanned into flame through your ‘time, talents and treasures’.
My thanks, in anticipation.
Please note that if you down load a pledge form from the website, you will need to provide your own envelope for Jane Dawes, our treasurer.
